DAVID KOERNER Exercise and Sport Scientist "My interest in athletic development can be traced to my experience as a football and track athlete in high school and then football and boxing in college. I received a football scholarship to Valparaiso University where I played both cornerback and quarterback. At this time, however, I discovered my passion for facilitating athletic development and made the decision to transfer to Iowa State University where I studied Exercise and Sport Science. While at Iowa State, I assisted strength and conditioning coach Steve Ballinger, working with all sports and teaching classes. I later went on to establish the Academy of Human Performance (AHP), just outside of Chicago, IL, where I worked with athletes of all ages. At AHP, I continued to develop and refine my training methodologies. I have since devoted my life to the development of athletes of all ages". |
